GOOGLE  PLUS

There was a lot of hype surrounding Google Plus when it first came out in June of 2011. Many people compared this new social networking site to Facebook. A lot of these people believed it would surpass Facebook as the ideal social networking site. Google Plus has reached about 500 million users (equivalent to Twitter users). However, we see that only about half of these users are actually using the website (235 million active users based on a monthly scale). These active users only spend about 3 minutes per month on Google Plus. Of the 1 billion Facebook users, they spend an average of 7 hours per month. Google Plus needs to do a lot to compete and catch up to Facebook.
